Rumors: Apple profits decreasing this quarter; iPhone 5S not coming anytime soon

Apple has always exceeded analysts anticipations since 2003, though now the similar analysts believe that the firm profit will decrease for the initial time in last year. Even worse a Citibank analyst is thinking that the iPhone 5S will be postponed, coming in even more anxious for Apple share holders.

Analysts anticipate Apple quarterly reports to say an 18 percent decrease in net income with incomes increasing by 8 percent. That will be the slowest increase speed the Cupertino based mobile phone maker has witnessed since 2009.

More costly components & lower priced thingies such as the iPad mini are affecting Apple margins. Demand is getting weak as well, with a few estimations hinting to 25million iPhones retailed, in the place of 35million or so similar in the earlier quarter. The iPad mini sales is becoming weaker as well, making analysts think that there are two mini come update time a Retina & one non Retina version.

Foxconn is allegedly hurting as well, as most of its profit arrives from Apple & the weaker demand is affecting its revenue gossips of several returned handsets cannot have helped either.

With all these rumors, Apple is expected to show more profit in comparison with Google & Microsoft.
Even then there could be problem in upcoming quarters. Citibank analyst believes that the iPhone upgrade, the iPhone 5S, & the potential lower end iPhone will be postponed by one month or two (with August or September being the probable declaration dates), & that we will not be witnessing a fresh main edition, the iPhone 6, in 2013.

Apple iPad mini sales outsells full sized iPad, the report says

Research firm NPD anticipates majority of users purchasing the Apple iPad this year to choose the Apple iPad mini in the place of the full sized edition of the tablet. NPD guesses that out of the 88million units of the slate that will be retailed this year, 55 million will be the smaller edition of the tablet with the 7.9inch screen. That implies that at a minimum, 62.5 percent of the Apple iPad units retailed in 2013 will possess low screen resolution & a slow central processing unit in comparison with the units retailed of the full sized fourth generation Apple iPad.

Interestingly enough, as per the NPD subsidiary DisplaySearch, monthly demand for 9.7inch touchscreens, like the ones utilized on the full sized Apple iPads, have decreased since the holidays to 1.3million units from 7.4million units. Demand in the 7 to 7.9inch touchscreen segment, which counts the iPad mini, increased from 12million to 14million per month. Demand for the 10.1inch screen on a few Android slates increased by a tiny amount previous month. All of it is fitting in with the previous reports that LG Display has witnessed a steep decrease in the production of full sized 9.7inch Apple iPad touchscreens whilst demand increased a bit for the 7.9inch display utilized by the tinier Apple iPad mini. The decrease has nothing to do with poor general sales of Apple slate, though showcases the repositioning of demand to the tinier screened variant.

As per DisplaySearch, total tablet screen sales will achieve 254 million this year, an increase from 160million from last year. Of that total touchscreens between 5 & 8.9 inches should make up 60per cent of the total demand. And with the Cupertino based manufacturer continuing to give away the iPad mini at a premium cost of $329, the report states that we could witness Android makers begin to increase costs from the existing levels of approximately $200 $250 toward the iPad mini $329.

Sony Xperia ZL: Is it everything you wanted?

Sony Xperia ZL is the latest handset from the house of the Japanese mobile phone manufacturer. It assures a lot of revenues for the Asian manufacturer.

Time for another 5incher guys! This time is the Sony producing a huge smartphone which is very difficult to use with one hand only.  While the Sony Xperia Z is getting the most attention, the Xperia ZL also deserves some love from us.

The Xperia ZL flaunts a 5inches capacitive touchscreen, which is obviously doing a great job. Sony has tried to leave no room for any complaints while making this handset.

The 13 MP fast capture snapper & the next generation Sony Exmor RS for mobile sensor makes this handset the device that offers crystal clear photographs wherever, whenever. With Exmor RS for mobile & HDR, Xperia ZL crisp photographs & videos both in low light & powerfully backlit situations. The low light sensors on frontage & rear make it the first dual Exmor R for mobile camera.

Discover the swift & convenient way to wirelessly share songs & photographs from this smart phone. One touch mirroring with Near Field Communication technology allows users to conveniently see content on the smartphone, on your television. Users have to touch their smartphone to their BRAVIA remote control & see their photographs or music coming on the television screen. There is no need of cables and buttons, so there is no confusion.

Moving on, the engineers at the Japanese mobile phone maker have tried to make the device slimmer as possible.  It has resulted in a device that is easy to use. Sony Xperia ZL contract deals are equally great.

Sadly the smartphone is not waterproof similar to the bigger Xperia Z. It comes with a physical camera key, which we would like every smartphone to come with. It also comes with an IR blaster, therefore users can utilize their smartphone as a universal remote for their home entertainment center. It could sound strange, though there are a few applications that can take advantage of that technology, & we wish more phones had it. The Xperia ZL comes with a huge battery at 2370mAh.

Sony Xperia ZL contract deals also give several added benefits, such as a gift or free minutes.

Samsung to fix sudden death issues soon

Samsung is acknowledging that the sudden death problem in its flagship Galaxy S3 & affirmed that it is working on a solution for it.

Dutch Samsung representative Anne ter Braak stated that the trouble is restricted to a little number of units & that a fix is on its way. As per the representative, the problem is because of a firmware bug that could be fixed with a trivial upgrade. Similar to other upgrades, it is anticipated to be an Over the Air update.

It was earlier reported by several Galaxy S3 users that their smartphone was abruptly dying thanks to main board crash, caused probably by collapse of the aboard NAND memory. A few users have indicated that the trouble happens when the smartphone is left inactive for a long time. Whilst the South Korean mobile maker did not affirm the precise nature of the trouble whilst acknowledging the subject, it did state that the subject is restricted to 16GB versions of the smart phone. Till now Samsung's reply to the trouble has been to replace those walking in with non working S3s with new units without too many questions.

Samsung's Galaxy S3 has done justice to the consumers and the company. In November, Samsung disclosed that it had retailed 30million units of the Galaxy S3 smartphone. So, if a problem like the one discussed above is true, they need to respond to that as soon as possible. Or their brand value will take a hit. And no company will desire that.

HTC sales feel by 45% in July, tough times ahead

Things are not great for the Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer, HTC. In the month of July, HTC suffered from a deep setback. In spite of the critically acclaimed One X, the money seems to be getting challenged only to the South Korean major’s wallet.  While the Samsung Galaxy S3 is basking in the mullah, HTC suffered from a 45% decrease in the revenues for the month of July. The manufacturer stated July revenues of T$25 billion ($834 million USD).  In 2011, the Asian giant reported T$45.11billion ($1.51 billion US$) in revenues & T$30 billion ($1billion USD) in June this year.

July is the part of third quarter and the revenues are already expected to go down by 23% for the period.
HTC needs to refresh the One lineup. There are rumors that a new quad-core 1.7Ghz, Tegra 3+ powered model is about to hit T-mobile in the United States market, & is expected to be known as the HTC One X+.  In addition, there is one more rumored smartphone known as the HTC Proto which could land before the conclusion of the year as a refreshed edition of the One V flaunting a 4 inch display.

But, reclaiming the lost market share won’t be an easy task for the troubled mobile maker. Apart from the Galaxy S3, HTC smartphones also have to face the wrath of the iPhone 5. The new iPhone is expected to hit the market shelves in September. Samsung is also close to unveiling the highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 2. But things are never certain in the smartphone world. HTC has the power and zeal to bounce back. At the moment, we can only wish good luck to them.
