Amazon’s Kindle Free: will soon hit the UK shelves

A press conference in New York has revealed Amazon’s debut into the tablet PC segment with the 7’’ Kindle Fire. This large screen slate is powered by a greatly modified version of Android features an IPS Gorilla Glass Display with a herculean dual-core processor under the hood.

The changes made to the operating system enables the users to get quick access to the Amazon Store as well as its won AppStore. A search icon on its home screen allows the gizmo users to make easier shopping on the slate than on its own site. Users can enjoy multitasking on this widget as it packs dual-core chip. It lacks some of the latest features which are present on its rival Tablet PCs like 3g connectivity, cameras and microphone.

The breaking news is perhaps the cost of this device. Its price is less than its competitive slates. The kindle price will cost you worth $199 (£127). Amazon said that this tablet will have access to100, 000 movies and TV shows, 17 million songs, its huge Kindle store plus its rising Appstore. Stay tuned with us to know about its UK release date.
