Analyst predicts Apple shipping 30m iPhones in Q4, 111m next year

Analysts hate to be incorrect, as a result they use a great tactic – alter your forecast when you obtain more info! That is what Susquehanna’s Jeff Fidacaro is doing, augmenting his estimation of the number of handsets that will be shipped this quarter to an enormous 30.3 million units. That means that a million units of Apple smartphone will be sold every three days.

Fidacaro based his amended estimation on supply-chain tests & “optimistic sell-through figures”. He is stating that component supply restraints are beginning to ease as the flood crisis in Thailand begins to subside.

Fidacaro also augmented his estimation for 2012’s sales, expecting Apple to ship 111.4 million handsets next year.  As Apple earns more money per handset in comparison to any other company, numbers similar to these guarantees the team from Apple iPhone to enjoy a merry holiday season definitely.
