Sony Xperia Sola Coming Soon

The Japanese electronics conglomerate is taking the mid-range category very seriously, and quite frankly we are not surprised. The Sony Xperia Sola is surely a standard mid-range offering but there is something that makes this device so interesting and unique. Sony’s Xperia Sola flaunts a 3.7’’ Sony-branded Reality Display, 1 GHz dual-core central processing unit, & has introduced the ground-breaking ‘Floating Touch’ technology which can even detect your finger hovering over the panel. However, there’s more to this panel – this touchscreen can even sense non-conductive stuff, so we can assume that it will work with gloves as well.

Sadly, it will also come with the Android Gingerbread operating system, and even the promise of an update to the Ice Cream Sandwich fails to calm us. Actually the floating touch technology works similar to a mouse cursor and users need to hover their fingers over the display and tap the feature that desire to open-up.
It seems like the Japanese telecommunication giant is back in the game, and we can’t help but notice the level of innovation this company is striving to accomplish. The dual-core processor will allow for swifter multi-tasking capabilities, although we are not sure about tech buffs that are aspiring for quad-core processors in their new handsets. The inclusion of 5 MP snapper, Near Field Communication technology, etc makes it a perfect gadget to buy this year, however the decent size of display may discourage many users. The direct access to the Sony Entertainment network is an added bonus, and may compensate for the loss of the other features in this device.
