First solo handset from Sony, the Nyphon images surfaces online

rumor mill seems to be focusing on the upcoming smartphones by Sony. And the handset, which just made an appearance on some leaked images must be coming after a very long time as it's only showing the Sony tag on it.
Sony Ericsson is expected to become only Sony in the middle of 2012, hence we possibly will not witness the handset pictured until then. In addition, if its alleged specifications sheet turns out truthful, we are not certain whether the waiting of this handset will worth it.
Reports say that upcoming Sony LT22, also codenamed as Nyphon  will arrive with the forthcoming 1GHz dual-core U8500 chipset, made by ST-Ericsson & a 4inches qHD screen.
The Sony Nyphon will likely have Android Gingerbread at the time of its release; however, it will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ultimately.

DLNA support expected on Lumia 800, through an application

Other mobile makers have done this & it appears probable that the Finnish maker will be doing it as well: fetching DLNA support for the Lumia 800 through an application from the WP souk. This is however only a rumor at this time, but perhaps appears quite authentic.

DLNA is one of the top-notch attributes for devices in the market. It is actually only a compatibility standard made by the Digital Living Network Alliance, hence very media-stuffed gadgets can work well jointly on the user’s home-network. Fortunately, even if a gadget does not arrive with the protocols integrated, they can be included afterward, & this appears like the strategy for the Nokia Lumia 800.

Nokia Lumia 900 coming in form of a sleek LTE gadget

More information has surfaced about the forthcoming Nokia Lumia 900 (previously known as the Nokia Ace), which will be the enhanced variant of the Lumia 800 for the United States souk, & it appears like the smartphone will be punching LTE compatibility, though it is not clear which service providers the handset will work on.

It is possible that the gizmo will be available through the AT&T, as AT&T has been a major ally of WP gadgets amid US networks, & AT&T requires more smartphones to encourage its new and revolutionary LTE 4G network. However, it is as well likely that there could be a Verizon version of the Lumia 900, since the network has proclaimed that they wished to witness more LTE gadgets running WP operating system to hold up the platform.

Nokia Lumia 710 rumored to arrive on January 6 in the United Kingdom?

The Nokia Lumia 800 was released in the United Kingdom mobile phone market last month & everyone is anticipating the release of its sibling Lumia 710.

At that time, Stephen Elop declared that the Lumia 710 will roughly be released in the beginning of next year &, while tech buffs hoped for its release at the end of 2011, they will only witness its launch in the month of January. This rumored is originated by the UK’s Digital Phone, which is marking the WP Mango handset to come on January 6.

This might come out to be only a blind shot, as the Finnish maker hasn’t confirmed it, and other sellers still have to put any specific release date for the release.

The optical track pad sits quietly, but we will like to ignore it.

Troubled with scandals, software firm Carrier IQ is still having a very bad week, with some more class action court cases filed in opposition to them. The two lawsuits alleged that the Federal Wiretap Act is violated in their analytics software.

The lawsuits claim that these firms seized, recorded & even compiled info from user’s handsets & then pass on that info to a third party (service providers) without the approval of the parties which were observed. The court cases also ask for legal & punitive compensation that could conveniently interpret into a huge amount, which would be distributed among the users of these phones with the Carrier IQ’s software. As 141 million handsets own this software, users shouldn’t hope for a huge amount.

The Nozomi will be the first-ever Sony Ericsson Phone to work on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Unfortunately, we can’t verify the legitimacy of the leaked pictures.

Its official, Nokia Lumia 800 approaching O2 on December 9

O2 users in the United Kingdom can now include the Nokia Lumia 800 in their wish list this Christmas. O2’s official website is showcasing this revolutionary Windows Phone smartphone under the Coming soon category.

Even their Twitter account hints at December 9 as the expected release date. So, we are taking it as official. Sadly, there's not much on the color variants though. We just found the black one listed on the site, but we hope that other colors also get offered soon.

But, Phones4u features black & the cyan variants with O2 contracts, which leads to confusion among consumers. Remember that the cyan variant is a bit costlier than the black one.

Strangely, Carphone Warehouse's official website features O2's Lumia 800 under the “pre-order” category only.

Nokia Drive available only for Lumia handsets only

It is now conformed that Nokia's free satellite navigation application will not be offered to other WP7 phones. And, it is confirmed by a tweet from the Finnish mobile manufacturer's Communications Director. Sadly, the sat nav application is an exclusive property of the Lumia line-up.

Nokia Drive is an apt and astounding satellite navigation application with maps at no charge & free voice instructions.

It is terrible news for many users who are feeling disappointed. We think that Nokia is missing an opportunity by not licensing this app for other phone makers and should make it accessible as a paid-for application through the Windows Phone souk.
